put on a breathtaking show, brilliantly capturing the fire and passion of flamenco. Soul-stirring.
Steve McQueen @ Lumiere. An Artangel project set in the bowels of the old Lumiere cinema on
St. Martins Lane. Composed of 2 video installations - Carib's Leap is eerie footage of life on Grenada, Western Deep
is a harrowing trip down the deepest mine in the world.
Barry McGee (Twist) @ Modern Art. Superb charicatures and other mixed-media illustrations.
Co-Op @ Plastic People. The return of THE broken beat night on Sunday 13th was roadblocked! Future jazz lovers
turned out in force to celebrate Co-Op's 2nd birthday and the return of the night after a hiatus of a few
months. Residents IG Culture (New Sector Movements), Dego (4 hero), Demus (Numbers) and Afronaught tore it up,
alongside guest Domu.
Mix Up Mix Up @ Plastic People. Excellent launch night on Thursday 11th of a new club run by
the people behind Funk-I-Tus
and Raison D'Etre, featuring a host of live bands, dancers, musicians and DJs. 2 Edged Sword, a hip hop group,
were especially impressive.

New Samba Review @ Cargo. Wednesday 10th October saw a fantastic line up - four sets, from Patricia Marx, Jair Oliveira, Max De Castro
and Wilson Simoninha, which showcased the best in contemporary Brazilian music to a crowd which showed out in force.
UK B-Boy Championships 2002 @ Brixton Academy - the best championships we've had the privilege of seeing

Funk-I-Tus @ El Paso (Old Street) - absolutely rammed on Friday 4th October - fine funky floor-fillers all night long.
